I hope others who read this story will offer support. This is a justifiable claim and should have and could have been rectified years ago. First of all, a firefighter has to undergo many physical examinations to be determined "fit to serve". So this was a healthy young man who had chosen to be a fire fighter.
The records show that he was exposed to some harmful situations in a period of a few months and he experienced symptoms that lead to his untimely death--at age 26.
His young wife was only 20, and most likely devastated by his death, and a mother. Her world had collapsed and she just accepted the denials of benefits, not knowing that it was WRONG.
Others just thought she was getting all the benefits, because she did not complain. She just went about the art of living.
She deserves all the back benefits that were withheld from her. With interst!!! 6:38 pm
