VCA 34, North County Christian 18
Drew Schettler scored four touchdowns and ran for 204 yards as Valley Christian Academy (3-0, 6-1-1) clinched the Coast Valley League championship.
The Lions spotted the Crusaders (0-3, 0-8) a first quarter touchdown at North County Christian in Atascadero. Then the Lions rolled. Micahel Calderon put them ahead for good with a 35-yard run.
Schettler scored on runs of six, two, four and three yards. He carried the ball 27 times. Calderon had a total of 62 yards on 12 carries.
Schettler intercepted two passes and made eight tackles on defense. Cuyama beat Shandon 50-22 Saturday. That result, coupled with VCA's win, gave the league title to the Lions.
Warriors split freshman, JV games with Tigers
The Righetti high school junior varsity football team lost to San Luis Obispo 42 - 14 in a game played before the varsity defeated SLO 13-3 Friday night at Warrior Stadium.
On Thursday, the Righetti freshman team defeated SLO 47-14.
Next Thursday the Righetti freshmen take on the Lompoc freshmen at 4:30 p.m. in Lompoc. Both teams have undefeated 8-0 records for the season.
AHC slates soccer scoreboard unveiling
A ceremony unveiling Hancock College's new soccer scoreboard is scheduled for 4 p.m. Monday at Hancock.
Jim Glines of the Joe White Committee is scheduled to speak. The committee organizes the annual Joe White Memorial Dinner and Auction. The event honors White, the late long-time Hancock athletic director and coach and is designed to raise funds for Hancock's athletic program.

Warriors beat Eagles again
Righetti earned another big win against Arroyo Grande on Saturday.
This one wasn't nearly as close as the first two.
Playing their third game of day at the Servite Tournament, the Warriors beat the rival Eagles 14-2. AG also beat Westlake 10-5, and lost to Bonita 8-6.
Against AG, Vincent Martel and Steven Tedsen scored four goals apiece. Matt Johnston had three, Kevin Malins two and Justin Savaso one. Goalie Kyle Stevens had six saves.
