The letter writer challenging conservatives to turn off Limbaugh, Hanity, Savage and Ingraham for a week and develop some critical thinking skills of their own may be asking way too much.
It is asking them to consider the possibility that there is something very wrong with our economy. Oil and pharmaceutical companies are getting obscenely rich, at the expense of the working class, and the housing market is in a shambles, also at the expense of the working class.
It is asking them to consider that the war in Iraq, where our young men and women are dying for a false goal used to justify that invasion, was and is wrong.
But can a staunch conservative possibly consider these examples are a signal that something is not as it should be? I hope so, but seriously doubt it.
However, I think the hardest thing to ask a staunch conservative to consider and admit is that their idol, in this case the Bush administration, has clay feet, and they have been worshipping and believing in someone who history will prove to be the worst president this country has ever had.
