I am very proud of our House of Representatives and Barbara Boxer for passing the health bill.

Our representatives deserve a big thank you for resisting the pressure, and voting for all Americans. And thank you, Joe Cao, the only Republican in the House to cross lines. I salute you and all those Democrats who voted “yes.” You have voted to expand coverage for those who do not have insurance, lower costs for families and businesses, and begin to reduce the deficit.

I urge all to support our representatives in Congress to do what so many of us know needs to be done. Those who did not vote for the bill have another chance. Show us we are more important than the financial pressures that are on you.
