This latest round of political guffaws by the Democratic Party is providing a strong argument that their leadership is not capable of leading this country.
The strong message of tax-and-spend mania is ringing loud and clear if they take power next year. They claim the Bush tax cuts are for the rich, and voted to eliminate them, guaranteeing millions of Americans will pay a lot more in 2009. Also, they will not extend the alternative minimum tax, a foolhardy tax that will compound the increased tax burden we will get with the tax cuts being eliminated.
What will we see with this brazen demand for more of our paycheck? This huge increase in taxes we will bear will be used to add billions of dollars to the federal feeding trough of domestic spending, trying to buy votes in their attempt to distribute more wealth of those who earn the money to those who don/t.
To top it off, Democrats then vote to keep earmarks 7 pork 7 alive and well, guaranteeing a continued bloated federal budget.
It is also the party that will happily spend millions of dollars to redo elections in Florida and Michigan because one of the candidates doesn/t like how the primaries are turning out. You know, the party that spends tax dollars to investigate baseball while the country is moving into economic decline, our borders are being run over, and we/re in the middle of a war.
It is a fact that the Republicans lost their way, and our economy has suffered under a neglectful GOP administration. What I see is much worse, if the Democrats take over the government. There will be a socialistic restructuring of our country that has never been seen before.
I/ll take McCain for his word that he will not allow earmarks. My vote goes to the GOP this fall.
