I understand about needing a county jail for our convicted local prisoners. What about those state prisoners?
They are transported to the jail in a secure bus, but what happens when they are released? Are they transported back to San Diego, Sacramento, or wherever they come from? Or is the gate opened, and out walks a former prisoner not native to the county, and miles away from the bus station?
How do we return them to where they belong? Just wondering.
