If you're reading this, you've already got a glimpse at the new look and format of the site.
The new architecture allows the Times staff to deliver news the way you expect it - faster, with more depth and with a greater degree of interactivity.
However, we are still working out the kinks, so please excuse any problems you may experience as we work to roll over our archived content from the previous site.
What we hope you do find are improvements in functionality across the site. A few examples include:
- Users must now register, with a valid e-mail address, to submit comments on stories. You can set up an account here.
- Content across the entire site will be updated more often throughout the day. No longer will stories change just at night, but will update as news happens.
- Related content, such as videos, photo galleries, audio and polls, will now display with the story.
- Finding related content on a subject is now much easier through the use of keywords on stories.
- Searching our entire site, archives and advertising should be much easier with improved search functionality.
The content you have come to rely upon - regular breaking news updates, in-depth reporting, blogs, photo galleries and video news - will not change.
We know that change doesn't come easy, and we're sure you will have questions about the content you find here every day.
So take a look around, and if you still have questions or comments, share them with us here.
