Bad weather in Alaska forced the Missile Defense Agency to scrub Thursday?s highly anticipated test launch of a missile from Vandenberg Air Force Base, which is now targeting take-off this morning.
The test is scheduled for sometime between 8 a.m. and noon, officials said.
For this test, a target will blast off from Kodiak Launch Complex in Alaska. About 15 minutes later, an interceptor will fly from Vandenberg for the first time, on a mission primarily to collect data and not necessarily to collide with the target, defense officials said.
