Dozens of custom, classic and antique cars and pickups filled the Village of Arroyo Grande on Saturday for the 21st annual Arroyo Valley Car Sho.
Only cars from 1984 and earlier are allowed in the show that’s limited to 300 entries in 23 categories, with the winners judged by the car owners themselves. The number of entries is limited to maintain the small hometown, family-friendly atmosphere, according to Arroyo Valley Car Club members.
Friday night, many of the vehicles rolled up and down East Grand Avenue in the 13th annual Sunset Cruise, also sponsored by the Arroyo Valley Car Club.
Car Sho entry fees paid by owners are used to support South County youth and senior organizations.
Since 1989, the show has raised more than $88,000 to donate to the nonprofit and charitable organizations.
