SMVYSA Spring Season registration

The Santa Maria Valley Youth Soccer Association (SMVYSA) is holding registration for its Lightning Soccer Spring season.

Players of all levels — ages 4 to 18 — are welcome to sign-up.

The play structure for this Spring season is a Coed format and will be based on modified Futsal rules. Futsal is a 5-on-5 version of soccer. It emphasizes the technical aspects of the game like dribbling, passing and tight ball control.

This eight-week Spring season will be held in May and June.

Registration takes place at the snack bar at the Adams School Soccer Fields (Across from the Minami Center) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Jan. 10, 17, 24 and February 7, 14, 21 and 28. The cost for returning 2008 Fall Season players is $50 each. The cost for new players is $60 each. A birth Certificate is required of all new players.
