2008 youth football Senior Valley Bowl

The annual youth football battle of the valleys will be played Friday night at Lompoc High School’s Huyck Stadium.

The game matches the best players from the Santa Maria and Orcutt Youth Football Leagues’ senior division against a team of senior All-Stars from the Lompoc and Vandenberg Village Youth Football Leagues.

Admission is $3 for adults and $1 for children and high school students with a proper identification card.

Kickoff for the final football game of the 2008 season is at 7:30 p.m.

Northside Little League registration

Registration for the 2009 season of the Northside Little League begins Thursday.

Registration fees are $85 per player. Early registration on Dec. 4 will be $75. Boys and girls with birthdates between May 1996 and April 2004 are eligible to play. Birth certificates and proof of residence are required. The boundaries are north of Main and east of Broadway.

Early registration will be held at the Tunnell School cafeteria on Thursday between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. On Saturday, Jan. 10 registration will be at the Northside majors field from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and the final registration will be on Thursday, Jan. 15 at Straw Hat Pizza on North Broadway from 7 to 9 p.m.

Orcutt National LL registration

Registration continues for the Orcutt National Little League 2008 youth baseball season.

All sign-ups will be held at the May Grisham Multi-Use room on the following dates; Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m.-noon; Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 13, from 9 a.m.-noon.

The cost is $85 per player and $80 for T-Ball players, There are discounts available for more than one player per family.

At the time of registration, each child is required to bring a birth certificate and three different forms for proof of residency.
