To mark the opening of the new Marian Osteoporosis Center, the first of its kind on the Central Coast, Marian Medical Center held an open house Tuesday evening for self-guided tours.
The center, made possible by Drs. Mary K. and David Oates with Marian Medical Center, will offer services and treatment for those already diagnosed with osteoporosis, a bone disease, and early detection for others through free community service and education programs. There will also be free health fairs, diagnostic bone mineral testing, a resource center, lecture series and management programs.
The center is at 116 S. Palisade Dr., Suite 200, in Santa Maria.
