Early Sunday morning, around 7:45 a.m., officers attempted a routine traffic stop at Alvin Avenue & Railroad Avenue. The driver of a 1999 black Chevy Impala failed to stop and led officers on a pursuit through residential streets.

The vehicle pursuit ended when the driver ran into a parked vehicle at Boone Street and Thornburg Street. The suspect fled on foot and a subsequent search of the immediate area proved negative.

The vehicle's passenger, Angela Keath, 26, of Santa Maria sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision and was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant for which she was booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail.

The driver, a Caucasian male in his 20's with short hair, remains at large and the investigation is ongoing.
