Probation, parole searches, warrants yield 10 arrests

Ten people were arrested today as a result of about 30 probation and parole searches and the service of three search warrants in Santa Maria and Guadalupe, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department.

The department’s gang unit worked with other local agencies in the early morning operation.

Arrested on suspicion of parole violation were Alejandro Carrillo, 25, Miguel Alvarez, 28, Gilbert Victorino, 46, Joseph Chavez, 27, Luis Gonzalez, 23, and Joseph Munoz, 31.

Alejandro Garcia, 32, was arrested on suspicion of probation violation.

Jesus Jose Gomez, 19, was arrested on a warrant.

Jose Ignacio Bernal, 19, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and being in possession of a dangerous weapon.

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

The adults were booked into jail at the Santa Maria substation, and the teenager was booked into Santa Maria Juvenile Hall.
