The Donovan Road on-ramp to southbound Highway 101 is open again this morning after being closed for five hours when a tractor-trailer overturned late Wednesday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
Saul Timoco, 30, of Santa Maria lost control of the truck when he was driving at an unsafe speed while entering the highway from westbound Donovan Road about 10 p.m., the CHP said.
The accident closed one of the southbound lanes of the highway for three hours and closed the on-ramp from Donovan Road for five hours, a CHP official said.
A small amount of fuel spilled, but was contained close to the wreckage and didn’t enter a nearby drain.
Timoco complained of pain to both legs and was taken to Marian Medical Center where he was treated and released this morning, according to hospital officials.
