Bulldogs release 2008 football schedule

Staff report

The Allan Hancock College football team will compete in a revamped conference, but will still face several traditional rivals during its 2008 season.

Hancock will still play longtime Western State Conference rivals Santa Barbara, Canyons, Bakersfield, Moorpark and Ventura.

The Bulldogs will continue to play their home games at Righetti High, but with a new starting time, according to the release of the 2008 schedule.

All home games will begin at 6 p.m.

Hancock is now aligned with the newly christened Southern California Football Association, which has absorbed the Western State Conference, Mission Conference and Foothill.

The new conferences are designed for competitive balance which should provide the best team for the state championship. Hancock will be members of the National Divison, Northern Conference.
