A Santa Maria suffered major injuries early this morning when he crashed his truck into a parked vehicle on Broad Street near Church Street in San Luis Obispo, reported the San Luis Obispo Police Department.
Fernando Perez, 31, was driving his 1990 Toyota Tacoma southbound on Broad when he drove into a parked 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX around 2:30 a.m., severely damaging both vehicles, police said.
The Subaru in turn struck a parked Nissian Frontier, which was moderately damaged.
Perez suffered major injuries to his body and head, police reported, and was taken to a nearby hospital.
Police believe due to Perez’s injuries and evidence at the scene of the crash that he was not wearing his sea tbelt.
The investigation is ongoing.
