Santa Claus visited 29 students with special needs Thursday and showered them with presents at a holiday party hosted by the Pismo Coast Village RV resort.
The kids, who all attend San Luis Obispo County schools, gathered at the RV resort to make crafts, sing carols, and receive some early Christmas gifts from St. Nick himself.
“I love him!” said Blake Johnson, 9, when he saw Santa.
The annual event - now in its 30th year - is completely funded by donors and put together by resort employees and volunteers from throughout the Central Coast.
For people at Pismo Coast Village, the joy in the children's faces they see every year is reason enough to keep up the tradition.
“At Christmas time, you want to do something special,” said General Manager Jay Jamison.
