OXNARD - St. Joseph's Danielle Gilaspy shot a round of even-par 72 on Monday for medalist honors at the CIF-Southern Section North Regional golf tournament, held at the River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard.
Diamond Bar scored a one-stroke team win over Newhall Hart (420-421), followed by La Reina (438), Valencia (441) and San Marcos (450). The top four teams advanced to the team finals, set for Monday at Dove Canyon Country Club in Rancho Santa Margarita.
Righetti finished eighth in the field, led by Amber Lee's round of 83, followed by Makayla Mier's 85 and a 95 from Natalie Marriott.
Marlee Mier was the only other St. Joseph player in double figures, finishing with an 83.
Gillaspy and the other individual qualifiers will tee it up on Thursday at the Alisal River Course for the Southern Section's Northern Regional Individual playoffs/

Warriors push past Tigers in PAC-7
Josh Groll scored seven goals in Righetti's 19-6 victory over San Luis Obispo on Monday, helping the Warriors to secure second place in the PAC-7 League.
Alex Johnson added three goals in the win for the Warriors (8-2, 14-10), while Eric Tucker, Mitch Acampora and Cody Lathouwers had two goals each for Righetti.
Tom Ross made nine saves in net for the Warrriors, who travel this coming weekend to play in the Servite Tournament, which was pushed back a week due to the Southern California wildfires.

Lions stay in CVL race with home victory
Krista Hall collected 10 aces, three kills and four digs in helping the Valley Christian Academy volleyball team to a 3-0 victory over Maricopa in Coast Valley League action on Monday.
Game scores were 25-14, 25-17, 25-17.
Lizzie Horstman added five kills and six blocks in the win for the Lions (6-3, 6-5), while Emma Perry had four kills.
The Lions wrap up the regular season at Shandon on Thursday, with the winner claiming second in the CVL standings.

Dally, Barden share national award
CHICAGO - Cal Poly football players Jonathan Dally and Ramses Barden were named the National Offensive Co-Players of the Week by the College Sporting News on Monday.
The duo were given a share of the honor after their exploits in Saturday's 48-28 non-conference victory over Idaho State. Dally, a 6-foot junior that played for both Righetti High and Hancock College in Santa Maria, was 16-for-24 passing for 453 yards and five touchdowns, the single-greatest passing display by a Great West Conference player ever. Dally also rushed 23 times for 119 yards and another touchdown.
Barden, a 6-foot-6 junior from Altadena, caught 10 of Dally's passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns. The 268 receiving yards represents the best single-game performance in the NCAA's Football Championship Subdivision (formerly I-AA) this season.
The Mustangs (1-1, 5-3) return to Great West action on Saturday at Southern Utah.
