That seat is mine, matey!

Buy a Photo!

Len Wood/Staff

There's nothing like the third installment of a blockbuster pirate-movie franchise to bring out the swashbuckler in every fan. “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End” opened Thursday night at various theaters across the country, including Edwards Cinemas on South Bradley Road in Santa Maria. Even though the first show at 8 p.m. had been sold out days in advance, fans still lined up early for the best seats - and perhaps a little swordplay. Among those who showed up in costume, Santa Marians Megan Janssen, 15, left, and Ashly Bihr, 16, fenced with foam swords as they waited in line for the doors to open.
