Guadalupe's Mychael Zepeda won a state championship at the 2007 Kids/Cadet California State Freestyle Championship at the San Jose Convention Center last weekend.

The victory makes Zepeda the California representative in the Schoolboy Division for the Western Kids/Cadet California Regional Freestyle Championship that will be held June 18-23 in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
