Maduli named interim president at Cuesta

Edralin J. “Ed” Maduli was appointed Cuesta College’s interim superintendent/president by the community college district’s board of trustees Jan. 10.

Maduli has served as Cuesta’s assistant superintendent/vice president of administrative services since October 2001, responsible for the college’s bookstore, computer services, general services, facilities planning, fiscal services, health insurance, public safety, and maintenance operations and grounds.

Prior to joining Cuesta College, Maduli served as the vice president for business services and, prior to that, the director of fiscal and administrative operations at Las Positas College in Livermore.

Maduli retired as a lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force after a 20-plus-year career.

He earned an associate of arts degree at Hartnell College, a bachelor of science in aeronautical engineering at Cal Poly, a master of science in aeronautical engineering from the University of Oklahoma and a master of business administration from Golden Gate University.

Maduli is also a candidate for a doctorate in educational leadership at the University of Southern California.
