John Ross, a financial adviser in Santa Maria for the past 27 years, was recognized for providing exceptional client service during the recent Linsco/Private Ledger (LPL) conference in San Diego.

Ross, LPL registered principal with John Ross Financial Services at 2222 S. Broadway in Santa Maria, is a member of LPL’s Chairman’s Club, comprising the top 5 percent of the firm’s 6,000 investment professionals.

As a participant at the 2006 national conference, Ross was one of 5,500 attendees who received hands-on training during more than 300 business sessions that offered technology training and continuing education classes.

Linsco/Private Ledger, the nation’s number one independent broker/dealer for the past 11 years, according to Financial Planning magazine, hosted the conference, the largest annual national event for independent investment professionals.

Unlike many brokerage firms, LPL does not develop its own investment products, so advice from its financial advisors is based only on individual client’s needs. Currently, LPL financial advisors help investors annually manage and invest more than $100 billion.
