NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Santa Maria will conduct public hearings on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 110 East Cook Street, Santa Maria, California, to consider:

1. TENTATIVE TRACT MAP FOR HARVEST GLEN TOWNHOUSES, LOCATED SOUTH OF SONYA LANE, EAST OF BISCAYNE STREET (EXTENDED), WEST OF THE SANTA MARIA VALLEY RAILROAD AND NORTH OF CARMEN LANE (EXTENDED), TRACT 5906. The City Council will consider a recommendation from the Planning Commission to approve a tentative tract map that would create 203 residential lots and 15 common lots on a 13.09 acre lot. The zoning of the site is PD/R-3 (Planned Development/High Density Residential), Assessor’s Parcel No. 117-330-018. The project has been reviewed in a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report prepared for GPZ-2002-007. No further environmental review is required. (Project Planner: Brian Halvorson)

2. 2004 LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM TECHNOLOGY PROJECT AMENDMENT. The City Council will consider a project change for use of the 2004 Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program funds.

Request for Proposals

On July 24, 2006 the Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services in collaboration with the Probation Department and Alcohol Drug and Mental Health Services will release a Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP seeks proposals from bidders who are interested in contracting to furnish “Wraparound” services under Senate Bill 163. Wraparound is a family-centered, strength-based, needs driven planning process for creating individualized services and supports for children and their families.
