A mustard field is in full bloom around the historic Mehlschau barn in Nipomo west of Thompson Road due to unseasonably late rainfall and recent sunshine. A blanket of high pressure will keep daily temperatures in the low 70s and nighttime temperatures around 50 degrees through Saturday night, but then there will be a small chance of rain as a small storm system comes in from the Pacific Ocean, Stuart Seto of the National Weather Service said Wednesday.
