Tim Campbell, of the Santa Ynez Valley and vice chair of the Santa Barbara Local Agency Formation Commission, has been reelected to a second one-year term as chairman of the Board of Directors of the California Association of Local Agency Formation Commissions.

Campbell is a director of the Cachuma Resource Conservation District. In 2000, the Goleta Chamber of Commerce named him "Public Servant of the Year" for his work as Santa Barbara LAFCO chairman during the incorporation of the city.

Christi M. Ahaus, a physician's assistant, has joined the Santa Ynez Valley Medical Associates in Solvang.

Ahaus has a bachelor's degree in biology from George Fox University and a master's in physician assistant studies from Oregon Health and Science University, School of Medicine, Division of Physician Assistant Education.

Vice President Clarence C. Cabreros has been appointed manager of Mid-State Bank & Trusts newly formed Real Estate Industries Group, said James W. Lokey, bank president and chief executive officer. The Real Estate Industries Group generates, processes, and manages major construction loans for the bank throughout its three-county territory.

Cabreros joined Mid-State Bank in 1991 as an intern in its credit administration department and graduated from the bank's loan officer training program in 1993. He was appointed a corporate banking officer in 1994.

A lifelong resident of Arroyo Grande, Cabreros earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Cal Poly with an emphasis on finance.

Cabreros is a founding director and vice president of the Mid-State Bank & Trust Foundation. He is a board member and treasurer of the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast. That organization honored him as its Associate Member of the Year in 2000.
