The Santa Maria Times encourages readers to express their opinions.

Submitting a letter by mail or fax, letters should be no longer than 250 words and MUST include the author's full name, address and daytime phone number. They may be edited for length, clarity and offensiveness, and we reserve the right to run longer letters on a case-by-case basis. Letters will be accepted without a list of individual contributors.
